Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC)

Curriculum Vision

Learning outside the classroom vision is to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop their full potential through the integration of outdoor education. We believe that learning beyond the classroom walls allows students to connect with nature, explore their surroundings, and develop essential life skills. By embracing Teach Outdoors, we aim to nurture a love for learning, stimulate creativity, foster a sense of belonging, and empower our students to become active and responsible citizens who value and protect our natural world.

Learning outside the classroom values:

Hands-on learning: Providing students with interactive and practical learning experiences that enhance their understanding and engagement. ( transform the inflexibility knowledge into flexibility knowledge)

Be adventurous: encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, explore new environments and take calculated risks in order to learn. Being adventurous fosters a sense of curiosity, resilience and an openness to new experiences. By being adventurous, the teachers can encourage students to push their boundaries, discover their potential and develop a lifelong love for outdoor learning.

Respect for the environment: Promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and a sense of responsibility towards nature through outdoor educational activities.

Creativity and imagination: Encouraging students to think creatively and use their imaginations to explore, problem-solve, and learn in natural settings.

Collaboration and teamwork: Fostering a sense of community, cooperation, and social interaction among students through group-based outdoor learning activities.
