It's at the core of how we teach and helps guide us in supporting our students to develop the skills they need for school and life in today’s world.

Our approach to learning is flexible and focused on each child. It’s not easy to separate all the pieces because they are so deeply interconnected. The role of the educator is vital in our model. Through observational assessments, educators make informed decisions about the next steps in a child's learning process. While the child remains at the centre of our framework, the path to learning can take many different forms. At Purple Oaks Academy, each child is able to follow 4 broad pathways of learning depending on their needs and aspirations. These pathways provide targeted support to help prepare each child for adulthood, by helping to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding they require as they move forward through life.
